WHAT IS BREATHWORK ?

Breathwork is a dynamic body-mind practice of conscious connected breathing that provides the groundwork for inner transformation and for a deeper connection to your self. Just one session clears deep tensions, reduces anxiety and increases life enjoyment. Breathwork takes most people far beyond traditional cognitive therapies. 

WHAT IS CONNECTIVE BREATHING?

Simply speaking, the breaths are literally connected. That means there are no pauses between the inhales and the exhales. The connected pattern of conscious breathing is a natural, safe and easy–to-learn technique.

HOW CAN BREATHWORK IMPROVE MY LIFE ? 

Breathwork has a beneficial impact on all 4 levels of your being: It improves physical health, clears emotional wounds, enhances mental calmness and it builds a connection to your spirit or higher self. Many people find that they build a stronger connection to themself through breathwork which has a positive effect on their overall feeling of self-worth.

Most participants observe the following after a series of breathwork sessions:

I AM NEW TO BREATHWORK, WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

The characteristics of this technique is different to any other breathing technique.  In comfortable clothing, lying on your back with your eyes closed, you will be guided in a breathing pace that allows all your cells to become completely oxygenated, releasing any stored toxins. We stimulate the release by massaging parts of your body. In the full flow of breathwork, you don’t pause in between the inhalation and exhalation. This might cause you to feel a tingling sensation in your body as the energy pushes through the energetic blocks.  The more you can surrender to the process, the more you will enter a state where you are being ´breathed´, your body remembers this natural way of breathing (the natural breathing pattern). Different emotions and mystical adventures may colour the experience.

We end the session with a time of stillness to give your body the opportunity to adjust to the physiological and energetic changes. For most participants this is the rewarding, blissful and deeply connecting phase of the breathwork session. 

HOW CAN I EXPERIENCE BREATHWORK WITH YOU?

 

You can  experience breathwork with us in one of our introduction workshops. Even if you have experienced breathwork ( with us)  before you are always welcome here as every session is unique, time and time again. 

If you feel the need for longer term support on your healing path, our monthly  Breath ∞ Sound workshops  are what you are looking for. A series of 4 workshops also to be taken separately.

Private sessions are beneficial for your more specific needs (read below) or just because you prefer an individual approach. And finally, you can choose to immerse into a breath and sound experience in one of our heart-centered retreats.

WHEN SHOULD I CHOOSE A PRIVATE (BREATHWORK) SESSION?

If you seek help to improve an asthmatic condition (including copd).

If you suffer from severe anxiety.

If you are pregnant.

If you suffer from hyperventilation.

If you seek help with an active addiction.

In all of the above cases you will initially need  individual attention before you join group breathwork. Please contact us with your request.

WHEN SHOULD I REFRAIN FROM BREATHWORK?

  • Epilepsy or a history of seizures
  • Recent surgery or injury
  • Severe psychiatric symptoms, particularly psychosis or paranoia

CAN I COMBINE ANTI DEPRESSANTS WITH THIS PRACTICE?

Yes

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO A SESSION?

 

Please  bring your own water bottle as drinking water after a session is important.

Wear loose and comfortable clothing.

Bring an intention: Why are you breathing today?

We provide  mats and blankets.

CAN I EAT BEFORE THE SESSION?

We recommended to not eat anything substancial in the two hours before your session. Drinking enough water though is a good idea.

WILL THERE BE MUSIC DURING THE SESSION?

Yes. (Live) music is part of the session and is selected with care for your process.

HOW WILL I FEEL AFTERWARDS? 

Every session and every person  is unique and we cannot predict how you will feel afterwards. Generally it is good not to have any important appointments after a breathwork session. Enjoy, integrate  and relax!
